In a New Light
Wanting has a whole new meaning for me
Desire, to touch, to feel you and feel us together
I did not know anything could be this good.
I look back, when sadness crushed me
and all the words I spun were heavy with tears.
And this is not me, not now, not anymore.
“Weighted down by all this crushing sadness
and I cannot breathe”
These words are not who I am, but who I was.
My body, mind, everything, are filled with spirit
and feeling, for you, for so many things.
I want you and I have you, you make me feel something
That I never knew I could
We are young, but isn’t that the best way to be?
Take advantage of time, they say, so I am.
Someday these days will be so far in the past
That I won’t remember your voice
Or the way you smelled when you layed next to me
But I will remember you, and the way you made me feel
And the way the music sounded better with you there.
