New Love

The world shows us fake love

Makes it okay for love

To be hate love

A depressed fate

For the ones who take it

As if it was real

Sad story

Of a girl who didn't know

She was more than a body

To a boy

It took her

Years to learn

Because I love you

Was a lie

A manipulative, sly guy

Taught me

There is more to yearn

Love is hard to earn

Hard to earn and

Hard to keep

But the one who loves me

Pushes me

To be exceptional

And comforts me

When I still don't feel like

enough

But because I love you

Even though it's tough

I finally feel

Loved enough
