New Me

I am better than who I was

I am braver than I use to be

Just a speck in this cruel work

Trying to make matters meet.

I used to be weak

But now I am a shining pearl.

I was like a spiraling plane,

Life so mundane, had me going insane

Trying to obtain people’s acceptance

In my own vain.

But now I live my life just for me.

I will be all that I can be

I will move mountains underneath people’s feet.

You may disagree but I must believe

I will move up to the Nth degree

Not to be harsh but you will be a farce

If you stand in my way

So lets sit down and pray

Because there will be no disarray

That I will let get in my way.

So I surely say,

I am better than who I was

For I am a new me,

And I will overcome any obstacle set by thee.
