A New Spring Birthday

Today is another happy birthday

And a new or novel spring season

It’s with an effervescent heart that I offer to you

My best wishes of glee, happiness and celebration.

I also offer you a thousand warm kisses and beautiful flowers

Of all colors. Open the door of your heart

To let in the fresh air of a new season

This is the age to cross the vaults and the veils of the horizon.

Darling, your lips are erubescent and made up

Like the burning rays of a Sunday afternoon

And your tongue painted and softened by honey syrup.

How wonderful to see you happy under the tropical shade

Of countless rejuvenated baobabs. Baby, my decorated heart of smiles

And flowers and my soul amidst the lovely petals are now yours.
