A New Voyage

Beyond the childish games we once played,

Above the high tides of gossip and dismay.

I discovered before me a new path laid.

With it I found through the clouds, the light of day.

I pondered and thought this journey to be

Arduous with no chance of hope.

Could this course show a new me,

Or would I crash, unaware of the shores slope?

Sure, there were times when I believed

That the ship would sink.

Yet, I continued to set sail, my spirit upheaved.

The waters I once knew were gone in a blink.

The waters are still now and the ship is a sail.

The mast, upright with much avail.
