New Year, New Me

New year, new me.

My reflection is the same.

My hair is brown

and my eyes the same.

New year, new me.

My name hasn't changed.

I have the same cat

and my house hasn't changed.

New year, new me.

I face myself,

Palm to the mirror,

yet I still see myself.

New year, new me.

A new passion burns within

to help those around me

as well as myself within.

New year, new me.

More ambitious than ever,

I set more goals

and achieve more than ever.

New year, same me.

It may be the new year,

yet I am the same person

that I was the last year.

New year, new dreams.

New year, new goals.

New year, new passions.

New year, new me.
