New York City

New York

The Big Apple

Largest city in America

She has welcomed many

Many in need

Many who wanted to start over.

This amazing city

Is a testiment

To the vibrant history of America’s immigrant population

She has welcomed the poor,

The hungry,

The oppressed.

Truly, America is Great.

Though she has many flaws.

Some are being fixed, some lingering,

There is no doubt

That this nation stands out among others.

E Pluribus Unum,

A truth,

A legacy.
