I'm ready to let go
Like that? No
Though, something inside me is ready
Ridding me steadily of all the regretting
The pointless fretting
Something below
Slowly blowing away the dust that's collecting
Above me
So unsettling and heavy

It's tough though
Below the weight
To snuff the stuff that says I mustn't trust
That tells me there's no we or us
Just me, my stagnant lust and lack of guts
But for what?
I'm more than some suit of armor
Waiting to rust
I must be
It's just . . .

I'm left so hungry
Wondering how to let it be
And free the inner me
The he who sees two moves ahead
Or maybe three
Someone who lives and breathes
Not only to dream
But who's pleased to seize the opportunity
I guess we'll see
