Next Time
Come join us at the party, we’ll have a wonderful time.
Of course there will be alcohol, but just say “no” that’s fine.
Ok, ok just this once, I said that I would go.
But its ok don’t worry, cause the next time I’ll say no.
Just take one sip and try it, tell me what you think.
It won’t hurt you, not one bit, its just one single drink.
I gave in yet again, cause the taste I wanted to know.
But its ok don’t worry, cause the next time I’ll say no.
Just pop the top and take a swig, and pass it on around.
Don’t stop with one, the second and third are easier to go down.
So I got a second, and a third when I started getting low.
But its ok don’t worry, cause the next time I’ll say no.
Come on lets go, the alcohols gone and this party is all but dead.
Let’s take my car, cause I feel fine, this is what you said.
So I hopped in and buckled up, and we headed home to go.
But its ok don’t worry, cause the next time I’ll say no.
We did not make it home tonight, we wrecked our car instead.
I cannot move my arms or legs and there’s pounding in my head.
Breathing is becoming hard, I think I’m going to die.
If only I had a second chance to give life one more try.
I’d live my life differently and to others I would show,
That NOWS the time to stand your ground; NOWS the time to say NO!
