A Nice memory
You know when you remember a good memory
Not a Gigantic memory
Like a landmark milestone good memory
But just a nice thing that happened
that you let get swept up in all of the things
You've done since
?
I remember when we went star Tripping
It was just after we drove back to your house
After frisbee
And we were both so Sweaty and dirty and tired
And it was muggy outside
And maybe even kind of damp
And there were mosquitos outside
And your sister left when we got there
so we were alone for a few minutes
Until your dad got there
And he told you the water was shut off
And we were so Sweaty and dirty
And he asked you to go into the crawl space
With him
To look at the pipes
And I crouched down
And watched the crickets and the spiders
Under the house
And the mosquitos trying to land on my body
while you looked for something
Under your house
and when you came out
You grabbed me by the wrists
And pulled me to the center of the yard
And told me to look up
And pick a star
It was clear that night
So you could see stars
And l picked one and I started to spin
And your grass needed cut
So my shoes got tangled
And I rolled really hard
And sprang up fast
Because it was one of those times
Where you hit the ground
And can just spring right back up
And I was very far from where I had started
And you laughed at me
And I laughed at me
And you picked a star
And you spun
Until you fell down
Except I fell down much better
And then we were covered in grass
And chigger bites
And mosquito bites
And cobwebs
And I was happy
That we did that
