Night

Rise when I wake up,

Amaro in the car,

Mayfair in calculus, choir, physics,

Lo-fi at sports practice.

At church it's Hudson,

Or maybe x-pro.

My family sees me in black and white,

but when I wake up late at night

I have no motivation to upload myself to the world.

I'm no longer edited to appear the way I'm "supposed to" be,

Because two AM thoughts only allow me to be me,

But that's only okay when I'm alone.

The smile is faded

And my thoughts are bladed,

Who would have known?

But during the day

I can't think this way;

They think I'm happy.

I'm sad, lonely, confused.

I feel corrupted, used;

That's just what it's like with no filter.
