The Night

I swim in a sea of blue Nothing old, nothing new The earth is cold My bare feet walk on solid ground But I stumble as I try to find my way through the beaten path Wander, I wander Through the dark forest On Starry nights I stumble The grass is too green The sun is too bright I come out at night When reality distorts the image of what is real and makes it so I see as I feel With the sun not so bright and the people not so full of light Destroy what is not how it seems to be to me, the only one who sees the eerie darkness On the brightest of beautiful days.
