That Night

They are both young,

both have a secret,

never thought it would come true,

until that night.

She was sad,

they talked for a while

then he called her.

She followed,

he watched her lay in the grass,

she told him to look up at the sky,

watching the twinkle

of fireflies in the night. so he lied right next to her,

looking up at the sky,

then seeing her shiver

he took her in his arms, the warmth of his hands

on her back, before she knew it

they were kissing,

she being told

how much he loves her

and doesn't want her to leave, him being told never to leave her side, some endings are never happy,

until that night.
