The Night
From afar, it would seem that the night conquers all.
Just the mere word can delve a man into thoughts of the collateral.
Contemplation of the concept has been engaged for centuries,
yet not a soul truly knows the secrets behind the ambiguities.
Scurrying people prefer the dark sanctity,
but ask them why only to receive no reply.
Even the dimmest of men know of the criminal preference.
The criminal preference that refers to the latest hours of life, in a sense.
Even these agents of the dark not know the origins of the hospice.
What exactly is it about the night that seems to quell the creators of fright?
Any dark refugee knows the fact deep down,
the nights purpose has been determined by the dark children escaping bounds.
The answers to the mysteries must only lie in the night’s inhabitants.
An answer to the age old question- Why has the night been correlated with fright?
Science often tells us all, the whole is the summation of the parts alike.
And this rule bears no exceptions to the mysteries of the night.
Still, the dark silently concedes to the public fear and unease,
but what none know is that these collateral connotations
originate from the creators of this very dark shade of disease.
The next time you step into the night,
as your heart is constricted at the clutches of fright,
know the origins of the emotional ambiguity,
lies in the scurrying of even a single refugee.
But come to love the night where it is pure and without the creators.
For although you may not need the dark now,
you may be the one scurrying for refuge sometime later.
