Night

To those who fear the dark,

The silence of the night

Is broken by the light

Of tiny twinkling stars

Above the Earth, so far.

Some crickets see them shine

Like little diamonds, so fine,

And start to chip and sing

So beautifully with their wings.

They sing a soft, soft tune

About their friend, the moon;

Her radiant glowing light

That makes the nighttime bright.

She looks upon the Earth

And sees the cool blue surf.

She makes it stop the ruckus and roar

And listens to it lap the shore.

At dawn, the moon dims her light

And that's the beauty of the night.

Sincerely, ...
