That Night

It was a dark and stormy night.

(That night.)

When I was out.

(That night.)

When we're on an island.

(My land.)

When we were all in shock, and

(My land.)

When we all had names, and

(My land.)

The games began.

It started with Ann.

She had a fan.

She turned it on, and it made her tan.

But, no did it make her skin brown.

But, no did she ever come around.

She was dead.

(Dead.)

Flat out on the bed.

(Dead.)

Holding her little head.

(Dead.)

That night, fear tight, did I sleep a wink.

Did my eyes sink.

Did my eyes blink.

I slept awake.

Alive.

This time, this chime, called the others in.

Drew them from within.

And one less person showed.

One less person crowed.

Wasting my lotion, causing a commotion,

She was starved into a fray.

(My land.)

She tumbled to the bay.

(My land.)

And was, well, dead.

Dread.

Tick - Tick - Tick - Tick,

Eight people smiling.

One is lying.

Are we trying?

Who are we defying?

Eight goes out East.

Seven lay in seven seas.

Down goes Hercules.

Six dies in vain.

Five goes insane.

(My gain.)

Four gets smashed in.

Three gets bashed in.

(My win.)

Two keeps breathing.

Two keeps screaming.

Two keeps weeping.

Two keeps seeping.

Down.

Down.

Down.

Down.

Drown.

I leave my land, and

Take that hand, and

Grab the noose, and

Pulled it loose, and

10.

Grab a chair, and

9.

Move my hair, and

8.

Throw that noose up.

7.

Rid the evidence.

6.

Make it credence.

5.

Loose it up, right, and

4.

Tighten with might, and

3.

Stand-up rise, and

2.

Close my eyes, and

1.

Say goodbyes, and

WAKE!

It’s fake.

It’s a big mistake.

WAKE, WAKE!

I’m dead.

WAKE, WAKE!

I said.

All the blood on my hands,

All the bodies in bed.

God stopped me dead.

With a bounty on my head.
