Night

As the night falls on us

The stars rise up to light the night

To keep us hoping

Hoping for something else

For something better

The night is darkness

Creeping in like our forgotten memories

The memories we wish to never see

To never hear from again

We have put them away, but they are never really gone

They came back with the night

When you are by yourself

All alone with only your thoughts to torment me

They only come out at night

Sneaking out of the walls into your mind

When the day comes, it brings light

But it also brings another night

And this night will be harder then the ones before
