The Night

The night is young, the night is brief, a night so cold and dark and dim, a night that may be filled with grief, and yet all night I hear a din. Possibilities for you and I, this night so young and sleepy, maybe we could share some pie, that indeed would make me happy. But as this night goes on and on, with twinkling stars at tv stuff, with reading and game playing and done, and of action I have had enough. And so as this day closes down, my friends I hope you all know that I hope tonight none of you shall frown, and sleep with a heart fulll of hope.
