Night After Day
Chaos and noises appearing like a riot,
Entering the mind from all places unknown.
Wishing for the madness to fade to quiet,
But it continues on with a painful moan.
Slowly there’s a chance of a trickling stop.
Could this be a sign that I have a chance to sink?
The distance increases between crash, bang, and pop,
So that maybe, just maybe, I can get a wink.
After thoughts running - running so loud,
Darkness appears, so pleasant and sweet.
I can finally rest on a light fluffy cloud,
And embrace the struggle I was able to beat.
Exhaustion takes over for I no longer weep;
I am able to drift away into a safe sound sleep.
