Night Dance

When I sit by you, you're presence feels cold
You're a ghost of my past
and the conversations are growing old
And I said to myself that I never expected it to last
Because I'm undeserving of love, deserving to be alone
If you knock on my heart, your knuckles will hit stone
I'm hardened and sullen
I don't know how to feel
And I swear to god that every night I wish this wasn't real.
So everyday I walk in a dream
Trying to figure out once again how not to be me.
