Night Elf
So goes the life of a noble night elf,
Standing here waiting, all by myself.
Waiting for my master to come home from school
To complete lots of quests, and win many duels.
Wait, I hear a sound; could my master be home?
Finally, perhaps on a quest I will roam.
Yes! she’s logging on. The computer is coding.
And Now my world is finally loading.
At last I am free! I quickly start moving.
Now my experience level I’ll soon be improving.
I get my supplies, arrows, and food.
I’m ready to go. I feel fresh and renewed.
She controls me over to the honorable quest giver.
She hits “accept” and I reach for my quiver
To pull out an arrow, and start to explore
And begin my search for some wild boar.
Off in the distance, I hear the boars growl.
She clicks me to “stealth” mode, and I begin to prowl.
I shoot out an arrow, as quick as thunder,
And run to the dead boar, for it’s skin to plunder.
Boar after boar, I shoot them all down,
Taking their loot, while standing my ground.
But one boar remains, the elite king of all.
Much experience I’ll gain, if I get HIM to fall.
First I need health, so I’ll take a quick rest,
‘Cause I’ll need my full strength to conquer this quest.
But suddenly I’m charging! My master hit “go”.
I haven’t rested yet; my health is still low.
It’s too late now. I’m already fighting.
The boar is winning with it’s gashing and biting.
I’m feeling faint, how long can I last?
I know my life is slipping away fast.
I become a wisp spirit. I realize I’ve died.
It’s up to my master to ultimately decide
To resurrect me now, or just leave me here
In this lonely graveyard of death and fear.
My master is frustrated! She quits and logs out.
And again my world is completely blacked out.
And so goes the life of a noble night elf.
Standing here waiting, all by myself.
