The Night Falls, But My Will Rises.
The Night Falls, But My Will Rises
By: McKenzie Wadsworth
The night falls with a silent sigh,
Lost am I.
The light for which I lust flares once, the dies,
Swallowed by guilt.
All hope must end.
My heart desires no more
How could I fall prior to my mentor?
Lost souls surround me evermore,
Crying.
I have lost my light.
But as my heart sinks
And my eyes continually winks.
My mind starts to syncs.
“Fear no more,” it said,
“I will guide you through this storm.”
And with that, it broke down my bearing wall.
It might be hard, and I may struggle through it all,
But once I find my courage, you will never see me fall.
