Night on Ocean's Edge
Time drifts away like the grains of sand in an hour glass as the night slowly passes
The moon shows its double face as the water mystically sparkles
What was once written in the sand by the water's edge is no more
Washed away by the incoming tide these writings disappear
The waves calling with a sound of longing that a sad heart responds to with a bounding leap
This place of calming takes the sadness away like the incoming tide
Words of hatefulness and sorrow are washed away to disappear in the moon's nightlight
The heart is free to love and feel again
