Night prayers

I bloom into the night

Falls deep with the wind into sight

Hails pouring, windows up, everybody’s asleep

God rose beyond the clouds, and carried away his sheep

He says “sleep little lamb, don’t be afraid”

So there I rest, arms bent, chest slows, on my bed I laid

I can’t decipher whether I sleep or decay helpless , do I ponder or do I wake?

I chant a little prayer, for my God, for my sake

“Now I lay me down to sleep I pray the lord my soul to keep, if I should die before I wake, I pray to lord my soul to take”
