A Night to Remember

A night to remember.

What is a night?
What is to remember?
My night is there daylight,
The whisper of her voice my heart's surrender.

My mind she arrests,
Yet never have I felt so free,
There in that cell my love manifests,
And where she is that's where I want to be.

With her strength she conquered my heart,
I am brought back to that night,
And with tender lips I am reminded in part,
That without her love I remain in the twilight.

If it be His will that with her my life's complete
Then with her I'll stay until my heart's last beat.
