The night sky

We sit here and stare up at the night sky , then looking down at each other pondering why? Even when we both know there's no connection we still waste each other's time showing fake affection. You see the thing is when two lovers start to grow apart they feel a sharp pain within their heart. And darling let's face it your eyes don't trace my body the same way they use to each and every day. I no longer feel the stars above us when our lips meet. I no longer hear the sound of my heartbeat. My body was liquid gold but your hands felt restricted and cold. No matter how hard we try it always ends up to be just another lie underneath the night sky.
