The Night Sky on Ivory Sheets
My thoughts on paper,
ink black as night,
pen scrawling words on ivory sheets.
My pain, my anger, my joy,
laid out for all to see,
though hidden away for only me.
Ink drips, instead of tears,
words shout, instead of voice,
paper rips, instead of skin.
This is why I write.
