Night at the Symphony

Sitting first chair violin The orchestra is silent Director's hands go up and so do the instruments The music starts with a cello solo Then the violins start with a loud, short sound Drums bash in my ear Bells chime, sounding like butterflies fluttering in the air The music is forte Suddenly, it is quiet Only the sound of a flute is heard It is a soothing, soft sound The sound increases as the music accelerates The sound of a storm fills my ears Percussion makes the sound of thunder CLASH! CLASH! Piccolos uproar out of the instruments The roaring music slows The crash of the lightning stops The roar of the wind slowly disappears We change from minor to major Instruments die out, except the piano, flute, and violin Heaven is opening up, letting the sun through the thick, dark, gloomy clouds Percussion makes the sound of horses galloping in the fields Butterflies flying through the air Many instruments join back in The legato sound grows louder A sound of a rainbow deepening in color fills the room As a symbol of God's promise to the world
