Night Terrors

Tonight has been a long one, the weathered clock on the table reads 2:43 A.M. The glare of the Christmas lights dance around the room while the house is silent. The only noise comes from this pen on this paper, and the only thing keeping me awake, is me. They say ghosts only live in children's heads, then why am I still awake with voices in my head? Eyes open sleep is for the weak nightmares commence.

This poem was simply a journal for me of one night's terrors. I have sleeping problems and sometimes I find poems to be the greatest relief. Hope you enjoy!
