Night Walks

The street in which I walk is calm.

My thoughts are clear;

I think of you.

You are my idea of love.

Arms that hold me, eyes that pierce me.

I know you're there.

I think of you.

You personify love.

The way you speak; the way you talk.

The gentle whispers of compassion.

I think of you

And your calming voice.

When we fight, we do not yell.

Jealousy is replaced with trust.

I think of you.

I have no fear.

The path on which we walk is calm.

Even when we are apart,

You think of me.

I am your idea of love.
