The Night Was Long

The night I will always remember,

Was over three years ago,

When time stood as still as a broken clock,

Never to be fixed,

The morn' before was glorious,

Beneath the Paris sky,

The night came all to quickly,

As the fireworks went off,

The music played so loudly,

Thump thumping in my ear,

After the show all fun was gone,

We were stuck in Paris,

With a crowd as think as molasses,

It took hours to find the car,

In the tsunami of people,

After twelve hours of walking and waiting,

Rest finaly came.
