The Night You Left.

I remember the night you left like it was yesterday

I remember the last words that sputtered from your lips

I remember the cool touch of your skin

but most of all i remember how i failed you.

The night you left i "knew" what was happening

but i didn't know what was happening

i didn't know it would still haunt me

seeing you leave right in front of me

i didn't know i would forget your voice

i didn't know i would forget your face

but most of all i didn't know i would forget those memories

the sweet memories that most people held near

were the ones i let wonder far

i wish i told you more the night you left.
