Nightblood

Red

blood

Turns,

dead and black,

dripping from my cuts

Pulses behind inky bruises,

harbored like trophies

Pumps through my life-force,

searing iron shrapnels

Purifying my soul,

of afflictions good and kind

Pricking my mind,

forging weapons and fighting the war
