The Nightmare

I'm running through a forest
Yet not getting anywhere
Animals sing a silent chorus
As I'm looking everywhere

A voice is calling to me
Rather one on either side
In front and behind, I see
Yet I cannot decide

To me they both do beckon
Yet I am stuck between
They want to help, I reckon
But still I do not lean

A cry for help I hear
Then I run straight toward my fear
