Nightmares?

I had a dream last night,

I was falling from the sky,

Nothing I could grab onto to keep my from dying,

I woke up,

cold sweat on my chest,

grabbing the edge of the bed,

seconds later I laid my head back to rest,

I opened my eyes I was running on a small track,

nothing to worry about,

not a single weight on my back,

I looked back,

My poor decisions were chasing after me,

They slowly gained on me while I was losing speed,

there was quick sand all around my feet,

the harder I fought to get away the more it pulled me under,

every decision had me by the throat,

starting to choke,

running out of breathe,

I remember the faces of the ones I have hurt,

my eyes seemed to be sewn open,

my mind was forcing me to stare,

I woke up,

no cold sweat this time,

but I was gasping for air,

even though I was awake the faces still seemed like the were there,

I closed my eyes,

seconds later I fell back into my deep sleep,

moments later I am back on the track,

I immediately checked behind me,

I started to jog and out of the fog you emerged,

I broke down in an instant,

you asked me why I had made myself so distant,

I didn't have an answer,

you held up two silver spoons and said look into the reflection,

All I could see was a guilty heart that need resurrection,

I don't remember word for word what we said to each other,

but in the end we both broke down into the arms of one another,

I thought for a second that this was reality,

but as I woke up it was so sad to see how sad I could be,

the last words were us telling each other we love each other,

No cold sweats,

No deep breathes,

just burning in my heart,

just thumping inside my chest,

I love you,

nothing will ever change that.
