Nightmares

As if I’m not suffering enough

You come when insomnia is playing nice and whisper in my ears terrible things just before you strangle me just to watch me struggle to hold my last breath

Then you let me breath

You keep introducing to insomnia like I don’t know it well enough

You are my whole distraction

You don’t stop at night, you’re in my dreams

You come into the day ready to swallow me whole

You corrupt my thoughts

I will not forgive you
