The Night's Breeze

The Night's Breeze A breeze so, soft and so, delicate. The most enlightened and under appreciated breeze I've ever felt. It flowed through my troubled thoughts. Waved my hair around in a silly perspective. Getting me to look at the fun flutters of life. That when the mind was in a frenzy between the unknown and unbearable, I would open the window and the soothing gust would twirl me away. Aiding me with the restlessness. So graceful, And beautiful the evenings had become. Everything was, sublime. But when the currents became opposite, They crashed. And in this collision, Came the worst of whirlwinds. Everything happened in such a whisk. And cyclones of betrayal spiraled around. A flurry of lies, Gales of distrust, Forever braking the zephyr. The windstorms were terrifying . Clashing elements began to unfold. And a tempest that would take the biggest tole on me, Occurred. Nights then became dry, sleepless. Humid. The aftermath would keep me awake at night. No longer would I feel the same relaxing night breeze I once had in my grasp. And the impact left their unseen scars. And as the wind moves forward, While the brewing storm settles off into different lands. I can only hope I feel that same breeze again. For there's no telling which way the current will take the wind this time. Hopefully in a favorable path.. Where the draft of forgiveness crosses the path of remorse And trust is renewed within the nights breeze In a flow of an ever changed wind. The butterflies, I now follow.
