A Nights Journey
its 11 and
Im lying wide awake
once again
hello my friend
who?
oh, its just my thoughts
as they start to seep in
damn, get some sleep kid
I cant, I’m
reviewing and
replaying all I did today
nothing really
what a waste of a day
its now midnight
here comes the fright
of what the next day brings
another day another fight
with who?
oh just myself
don’t you worry
its nothing new
but surely
I cant be the only one
I know there’s a few
more who lose their minds
and let the chaos ensue
its now 2
maybe its just our dreams
we are trying to pursue
the sparkle in our minds
that radiates and gleams
im not crazy
no?
no, im perfectly sane
its all of you
me?
yes, that are standing in the way
its 4 now
almost time to face the day
are you ready?
its not safe to say
oh my
will I keep these thoughts at bay
or carry them on my shoulders
can I withstand the weight?
its 6
and im up and ready
going steady
its not at all heavy
im doing fine
this must be a sign
after staying up all night
Ive come to the conclusion
that im fine
im ok
no I truly mean it
its 8 now
and Im alive
