The Nights Other Side

Black as night

Cold as ice

Is the recipe for disaster, word of the wise

It holds no memory and love is blind

Heart of stone, leaves no thought

It is alone

When all hope is lost

My savior comes to a battle fought

He shows the spirits what could be

And sets there souls free

My head unconscious and my body limp

He runs through the thick edged thorns, he doesn't flinch

A little plant that has survived shows hope

But opens the portal to the other world

He lays me down next to the little plant

"Goodbye my love" he whispers "your next life won't be so bad"
