Nights at the ranch

The dreamy flutter of ferries dressed liked fireflies.

The slow happenings of hounds.

The content peace of angels.

A lighthearted dilation of time.

As thighs stick to perspiring plastic;

Flies land in lemonade.

Ahead of us the sun sets;

Behind us the moon rises.

Romanticized summer nights.
