Nighttime

Every day’s end lit up by dusk,

Verging towards another night, lets

Evening through to take her turn.

Nature strips soften under street lights.

Inside, through windows shines the moonlight.

Networks are busy, pots simmer on stoves

Glasses poured, French cheese, olive oil crackers

Sinks into nighttime’s slow coming dreams.
