A Nighttime Lullaby
I look out and see a blanket of stars
Shining and gleaming
They twinkle and dance in the night sky
Accompanying the man in the moon,
They dance to a song I've never heard before
Out in the distance a song plays
What a symphony
The symphony sounds like a cry
I hear them such beauty in their song
Wishing and dreaming
O how I wish to be a part to sing all night long
Instead I listen
I listen to them sing
As I doze off the symphony continues
Quieter and quieter it gets until there is no light
Just darkness that radiates my room
No stars
No music
Just darkness....
