Nikes on my Feet

Sun, 03/27/2016 - 23:19 -- gilslam

Walking on the street or tryna keep a beat,

All I really need are some shoes on my feet.

Preferably Nike, but I ain't picky. Some fresh white converses

With red laces. Or maybe some Air Force Ones to keep me fly

Something with a little flash, but I don't want light ups.

A little swagger goes a long way

What I really need is the support.

The weight of the world can be tough, and my arches can't really handle that.

Some shoes are born to fail: they don't have any sole

The sole is the most important part of the shoe, even though you can't see it.

If you don't have sole you can't dance, you can't run, you can't play.

The shoe is for show if it doesn't have a sole, you might as well go barefoot.

But if you go barefoot you're gonna get caught

Tripping on something small, a pebble or a rock

I guess that you get to choose

But tell me how you can run the world without shoes?
