Nineteen

Location

Silently screaming,
Silently dreaming in terror and fear.
No one trusted,
Feeling dead inside and alone.

Standing up for oneself,
Knowing no one cares anymore.
Too young to be taken seriously,
Too old to be helped.

Broken inside and out,
None hear cries of frustration.
Self-esteem too low,
But feeling better than others.

Quiet pain overwhelming,
Yet still clawing at the mind for freedom.
Mouth numb and eyes dry,
Wanting to end it all forever.
