Sitting together in the lonely room

Anxiously fearing the doctor's review

To hear those words that will prophesize doom

Clinging to a hope that will get them through

To recieve the news is to learn his fate

Discover the time he has left to spend

And to rid himself of anger and hate

So he can care for the bonds he must mend

Itself, the body is trying to kill

Her sorrow and heartache she cannot hide

He no longer has a power of will

It's tearing her apart from the inside

Beneath the earth and above in the sky

Her tears fall because her heart cannot lie
