As the rain drips down the window pane,

My heart begins to ache in vain.

All alone and scared to death,

I sat in the floor and begin to creath.

I wonder why you never stopped by.

No sound somehow in this wretched house.

Can't even hear a squeal of a mouse.

The day you left and walked away,

There was still so much I needed to say.

I wonder why you always had to lie.

You said you would keep in touch,

But I guess I asked for too much.

No letters, no visits, not even a phone call.

Finally, I realized that was your downfall.

I wonder why I even cared at all.

You missed out on so many great achievements.

Did you even come to any appointments?

None of this even matters now.

I didn't care anyhow.

I wonder why I even worried about a no-account.
