No Anime No Life

Life of a high school kid

Stressful, simple, call it what you may

From most, my relaxation is hid

Yet to most, that outlet is anime

My escape from reality

A  different dimension

Changes how I hear, speak, and see

Releasing all the tension

This bond was not destined from the start

Watching isn’t living

But anime is close to my heart

Does nothing less than giving

Classify it as a need or a want

That may come into question

Let me be daunt

When I say that this isn’t a mere obsession

This prompt is not asked  literally

Lungs, a brain, or oxygen

I could answer scientifically

For time and time again

To be unable to live without

Means it has changed one’s world

And that’s what anime is about

For this one high school girl
