To No Avail
Happiness dances.
Unexpectedly glimpsed.
Could it be?
Doubts commenced.
Should i trust?
Dare i venture on?
Insecurities question,
reflecting past love, gone.
Neglected emotions,
begin to echo from the dark.
Beckoning to be held,
in the light from loves spark.
Loneliness once locked away,
on itself crimped.
Now seeps loosely about.
Searching for happiness glimpsed.
Sorrow,
unable to resist.
Follows itself out,
exploring with loneliness.
In happiness being sought,
depression grows.
Redemption lost within,
what now overshadows.
Beaten and discouraged,
happiness never stood a chance.
For it is Irony,
that rules this particular dance.
