No Cure

Skin and bones is all I am.

My blood flows slowly,

with each thump bunping,

slowly,

     slowly,

          slowing down.

I feel it in my fingers,

stretching to my toes.

flowing in my blood,

resting in my bones.

In the lining of my stomach,

in every breath I take,

I feel myself dying,

yet I celebrate.

I stare at the sky,

seeing wonders all about.

My body is slowly dying,

but the light of my soul

will never go out.
