No Filter

Up to my life right now, everything I want I have,

but how can this be, I'm only just a lad?

And God looked down, shook his head and took offense,

"Son you don't need the world's treasures to be your source of defense,"

Without a filter I look nice but plain,

without a filter you can see my face and heart's stain.

Without a filter I'm just another variable,

without a filter I look nice and recognizable.

We prefer to look like hollywood glamour...

but darlin' don't ya think we can go once without the pamper?

We prefer to have the whole world watching,

but for once I just want the cry of freedom calling...

It's nice to cater to the feed of our friends

But even to them my own self-worth I will not lend.

So I will continue to post without a filter, even if I look like a bunch of litter, rather than a box of glitter.
